Born in Monza in 1981, lives and works in Arcore (Milan).
After graduating at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan he wins a scholarship and moves to London for a postgraduate Master Degree at the Slade School of Art.
Gabriele Porta's work ranges through various media, video, photography, drawing and print making. By suspending and fixing a seen or an image his work tends to freeze that moment of passage between and inner emotional state and another. Isolation, solitude and suspence are all elements that contribute to the fascination of Porta's imagery.
