Schiavo Mazzonis Gallery

Born in Rome in 1982 where lives and works.

Studies philosophy and graduate with a dissertation on Antoine Fabre D’Olivet, French traditionalist and anti-enlightenment philosopher of the early XIXth century.
Works between 2005-2008 with Gianfranco Baruchello and his Foundation. In 2004 founds with Gabriele Silli and Giacomo Sponzilli the Mastequoia art group.

His practice is mainly project-oriented, developing from theoretical elements and researches, originally collected in writings and formulas, acted then in a wide range of media, each time different, chosen with regard of the specificity of each different founding work idea, resulting in performances, installations and films.
This practice produces, beside the various actions, operations, inquiries and private performances, thematic sets of documents, notes, sketches, videos, drawings, assemblages, pictures, signs and left-overs. Such items, fragments and remains, collected during a long distance work process, are finally grouped and edited in archive forms.
