  • A. Sala

Born in Como, Italy in 1976. Lives and works between Milan and Montreal.

After his Diploma at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan, he started taking part in exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Since his early works he develops a specific attention to the forms of design and architecture, questioning the materials that constitute them and their formal values.

"To find a new image in an existing form and to discover a different potentiality inside an object are fundamental aspects of my approach. I'm fascinated by the world of design and architecture. I work with design objects, architectural projects, images or works of other artists, trying to identify and capture a new functionality, a new scale, a new reality for them. I'm interested in the design practice: I add, subtract, work, and appropriate myself of something already existing, finding for it new potentialities and reshaping it in a new form and context".
